NATIONAL FOREWORD

This Indian Standard (Part 2) (First Revision) which is identical with ISO 12003-2 : 2021 ‘Tractors for agriculture and forestry - Roll-over protective structures on narrow tractors - Part 2: Rear-mounted ROPS’ issued by the International Organization for Standardization (ISO), was adopted by the Bureau of Indian Standards after the draft finalized by Agricultural Machinery and Equipment Sectional Committee had been approved by the Food and Agriculture Division Council.

This Indian Standard was first published in 2018 as an identical adoption of ISO 12003-2 : 2008 under dual numbering. The first revision of the standard has been undertaken to harmonize with the latest version of ISO 12003-2 published in 2021 and is an identical adoption of the ISO standard under dual numbering.

The text of ISO Standard has been approved as suitable for publication as an Indian Standard without deviations. Certain conventions are, however, not identical to those used in Indian Standards. Attention is particularly drawn to the following:

a) Wherever the words ‘International Standard’ appear referring to this standard, they should be read as ‘Indian Standard’.

b) Comma (,) has been used as a decimal marker while in Indian Standards, the current practice is to use a point (.) as the decimal marker.
