NATIONAL FOREWORD

This Indian Standard (Part 3) which is identical with IEC 80416-3 : 2002 ‘Basic principles for graphical symbols for use on equipment - Part 3: Guidelines for the application of graphical symbols’ issued by the International Electrotechnical Commission (IEC) was adopted by the Bureau of Indian Standards on the recommendation of the Basic Standards Sectional Committee and approval of the Production and General Engineering Division Council.

This Indian Standard is published in four parts. Other parts in this series are:
