NATIONAL FOREWORD

This Indian Standard which is identical with IEC 62975 : 2021 ‘Natural esters - Guidelines for maintenance and use in electrical equipment’ issued by the International Electrotechnical Commission (IEC) was adopted by the Bureau of Indian Standards on the recommendation of the Fluids for Electrotechnical Applications Sectional Committee and approval of the Electrotechnical Division Council.

This Standard covers the requirement of “Guide for Acceptance and Maintenance of Natural Ester Fluids in Transformers” which was previously covered in IS 16899 : 2019.

This revision has been undertaken to align with the latest version of IEC 62975 : 2021.
