NATIONAL FOREWORD

This Indian Standard (First Revision) which is identical with IEC 62790 : 2020 'Junction boxes for photovoltaic modules - Safety requirements and tests' issued by the International Electrotechnical Commission (IEC) was adopted by the Bureau of Indian Standards on the recommendation of the Solar Photovoltaic Energy Systems Sectional Committee and approval of the Electrotechnical Division Council.

This standard first published in 2018, was identical with IEC 62790 : 2014. This first revision has been undertaken to take into consideration the developments that have taken place subsequently and also to align with the latest version of IEC 62790 : 2020.
