IS 17011 : 2018 Chemical Requirements for Footwear and Footwear Materials

ICS 61.060

CHD 19

Reaffirmed 2023

1. Scope

1.1 This Indian Standard provides a list of critical chemical substances potentially present in footwear and footwear components.

1.2 This Indian Standard describes the critical chemical substances, their potential risks, the materials in which they can be found and the test method(s) which can beused to quantify them.

1.3 The chemicals are divided into two tables:

a) Table 1 lists chemicals for which levels of acceptance are specified; and

b) Table 2 lists chemicals for information purpose and some of them do not include a test method as no test method is available at the time of publication.

2. References

The standards given below contain provisions which, through reference in this text, constitute provisions of this standard. At the time of publication, the editions indicated were valid. All standards are subject to revision, and parties to agreements based on this standard are encouraged to investigate the possibility of applying the most recent editions of the standards indicated below: IS No./Other Publication Title
