The standards listed in Annex A contain provisions which, through reference in this text, constitute provisions of this standard. At the time of publication, the editions indicated were valid. All standards are subject to revision, and parties to agreements based on this standard are encouraged to investigate the possibility of applying the most recent editions of the standards listed in Annex A.

In case the Software Development Unit (SDU) already has an operative business process management system ( for example, in relation with IS/ISO 9001, IS/ISO/IEC 27001 or IS/ISO/IEC 20000-1), it is preferable in most cases to satisfy the requirements of this Standard within this existing management system.
