IS 17104 : 2024/ISO 10551 : 2019 Ergonomics of the Physical Environment - Subjective Judgement Scales for Assessing Physical Environments
NATIONAL FOREWORD
This Indian Standard (First Revision) which is identical to ISO 10551 : 2019 'Ergonomics of the physical environment - Subjective judgement scales for assessing physical environments' issued by the International Organization for Standardization (ISO) was adopted by the Bureau of Indian Standards on recommendation of the Ergonomics Sectional Committee and approval of the Production and General Engineering Division Council.
This standard was first published in 2019 based on ISO 10551 : 1995. This revision has been undertaken to align it with the latest version of ISO 10551.
The major changes incorporated in this revision are as follows:
a) The title has been changed from "Ergonomics of the thermal environment - Assessment of the influence of the thermal environment using subjective judgement scales" to "Ergonomics of the physical environment - Subjective judgement scales for assessing physical environments";
b) Since the title has been changed, the scope has also been reworded;
c) In Clause 5.2.1, a unipolar scale has been added;
d) Annex B has been changed; and
e) Annexes C to G have been added.
