This Indian standard (Part 6) which is identical to ISO 16140-6 : 2019 ‘Microbiology of the food chain - Method validation - Part 6: Protocol for the validation of alternative (proprietary) methods for microbiological confirmation and typing procedures’ issued by the International Organization for Standardization (ISO) was adopted by the Bureau of Indian Standards on recommendation of the Food Hygiene, Safety Management and Other Systems Sectional Committee and approval of the Food and Agriculture Division Council.
