IS 17148 : Part 3 : 2025/ISO 7935 : 2024 Performance Characteristics of Automated Measurement Systems - Part 3 Sulfur Dioxides from Stationary Sources
NATIONAL FOREWORD
This Indian Standard (Part 3) (First Revision) which is identical to ISO 7935 : 2024 'Stationary source emissions - Determination of the mass concentration of sulfur dioxide in flue gases - Performance characteristics of automated measuring systems' issued by the International Organization for Standardization (ISO), was adopted by the Bureau of Indian Standards on the recommendation of the Air Quality Sectional Committee and approval of the Chemical Division Council.
Deterioration in air quality due to pollution is a pertinent global problem. Monitoring industrial emissions so as to minimize its environmental and health effects is a major concern in a developing economy like India. Automated measurement systems (AMS) help in continuous monitoring of emissions. For accurate and effective functioning, these measurement systems shall fulfill certain performance criteria. These standard forms a part of a series of standards on performance characteristics of AMS and it is applicable for the AMS utilized for determination of sulphur dioxide from stationary source emissions.
