NATIONAL FOREWORD
This Indian Standard is identical with ISO 730 : 2009 ‘Agricultural wheeled tractors — Rearmounted three-point linkage — Categories 1N, 1, 2N, 2, 3N, 3, 4N and 4’ issued by the International Organization for Standardization (ISO) was adopted by the Bureau of Indian Standards on recommendation of the Agricultural Machinery and Equipment Sectional Committee and approval of the Food and Agriculture Division Council.
This standard was originally published in 1967 and subsequently revised in 1977, 1986 and 1993. At the time of its third revision this standard was split into three parts to align them with ISO 730 Parts 1 to 3. In the year 2009 all the three parts of ISO 730 was merged and were published as the single publication.
This Indian Standard has been undertaken to align it with the latest version of ISO 730 : 2009 to keep pace with latest international practices.
IS 4468 (Part 3) : 1993 has already been withdrawn. Now IS 4468 (Part 1) : 1997 and IS 4468 (Part 2) : 1993 has been merged into a single standard. Hence after the publication of this standard IS 4468 (Part 1) : 1997 and IS 4468 (Part 2) : 1993 shall be withdrawn.
The text of ISO Standard has been approved as suitable for publication as an Indian Standard without deviations. Certain terminologies and conventions are, however, not identical to those used in Indian Standards. Attention is particularly drawn to the following:
a) Wherever the words ‘International Standard’ appear referring to this standard, they should be read as ‘Indian Standard’.
b) Comma (,) has been used as a decimal marker, while in Indian Standards, the current practice is to use a point (.) as the decimal marker.
