Reaffirmed 2023
NATIONAL FOREWORD
This Indian Standard (Part 1) which is identical with ISO 15616-1 : 2003 ‘Acceptance tests for CO2-laser beam machines for high quality welding and cutting — Part 1: General principles, acceptance conditions’ issued by the International Organization for Standardization (ISO) was adopted by the Bureau of Indian Standards on recommendation of the Machine Tools, Machine Tool Elements and Holding Devices Sectional Committee and approval of the Production and General Engineering Division Council.
This Indian Standard is published in four parts. The other parts in this series are:
Part 2 Measurement of static and dynamic accuracy
Part 3 Calibration of instruments for measurement of gas flow and pressure
Part 4 Machines with 2-D moving optics
The text of ISO Standard has been approved as suitable for publication as an Indian Standard without deviations. Certain terminologies and conventions are, however, not identical to those used in Indian Standards. Attention is particularly drawn to the following:
a) Wherever the words ‘International Standard’ appear referring to this standard, they should be read as ‘Indian Standard’.
b) Comma (,) has been used as a decimal marker, while in Indian Standards, the current practice is to use a point (.) as the decimal marker.
