NATIONAL FOREWORD

This Indian Standard (Part 6) (First Revision) which is identical with ISO 16900-6 : 2021 ‘Respiratory protective devices - Methods of test and test equipment - Part 6: Mechanical resistance/strength of components and connections’ issued by the International Organization for Standardization (ISO), was adopted by the Bureau of Indian Standards after the draft finalized by Occupational Safety and Health Sectional Committee had been approved by the Chemical Division Council.

This standard specifies the method of test for the mechanical resistance and strength of components of respiratory protective devices.
