1 SCOPE
1.1 This Indian Standard provides general functional requirements of a digital otoscope — handheld type. It applies to otoscope that is portable, battery operated and has a display screen with suitable software to capture, store and transfer images to examine the external auditory canal and the tympanic membrane of human ear.
1.2 This standard does not apply to a wall mounted Otoscope.
