Revised Standard from Last Update.

NATIONAL FOREWORD

This Indian Standard (First Revision) which is identical to ISO 18338 : 2021 ‘Metallic materials - Torsion test at room temperature’ issued by the International Organization for Standardization (ISO) was adopted by the Bureau of Indian Standards on the recommendation of the Mechanical Testing of Metals Sectional Committee and approval of the Metallurgical Engineering Division Council.

This standard was originally published in 2020. The first revision of this standard has been undertaken to align with the latest version ISO 18338 : 2021 to harmonize it with the latest developments that have taken place at international level.

The changes are as follows:

a) The duplicated part of formula (A.4) has been deleted; and

b) Minor editorial changes.
