IS 1742 : 1983 Code of practice for building drainage

1 Scope

1.1 This code gives recommendations for the design, layout,construction and maintenance of drains for waste water, surfacewater and subsoil water and sewage together with all ancillaryworks, like connections, manholes, inspection chambers, etc, usedwithin the building and from the building to the connection to apublic sewer or to treatment works, a cesspool, a soakaway or awater course.
