IS 17440 : 2020 Carbon Black-Specification

1 SCOPE
This standard prescribes requirements for different varieties of carbon black for applications in paints, plastics, inks, tyres and rubber products. It also describes various test methods for the determination of Ash content, pH value, acetone extract, tinting strength, pour density, iodine adsorption number, particle size determination, total and external surface area by nitrogen adsorption.
