1. SCOPE

1.1 This standard prescribes the requirements, the methods of sampling and testing for monomeric MDI (MMDI), including pure MDI and polymeric MDI (PMDI).

1.2 This specification covers only one grade of PMDI which is majorly used in rigid polyurethane application. This specification does not cover prepolymers, high functional, modified and other variants of MDI.
