NATIONAL FOREWORD

This Indian Standard (Part 1) which is identical with ISO 17491-1 : 2012 ‘Test methods for clothing providing protection against chemicals - Part 1: Determination of resistance to outward leakage of gases (internal pressure test)’ issued by the International Organization for Standardization (ISO) was adopted by the Bureau of Indian Standards on recommendation of the Textiles Protective Clothing Sectional Committee and approval of the Textiles Division Council.

This Indian Standard is published in five parts. The other parts in this series are:
