NATIONAL FOREWORD

This Indian Standard (Part 1) which is identical with ISO 3008-1 : 2019 ‘Fire resistance tests - Door and shutter assemblies - Part 1: General requirements’ issued by the International Organization for Standardization (ISO) was adopted by the Bureau of Indian Standards on recommendation of the Fire Safety Sectional Committee and approval of the Civil Engineering Division Council.

The standard is published in four parts. The other parts in this series are:

Part 2 Lift landing door assemblies

Part 3 Door and shutter assemblies horizontally oriented

Part 4 Linear joint fire seal materials used to seal the gap between a fire door frame and the supporting construction
