1 SCOPE

This standard prescribes the minimum performance requirements of bullet resistant morcha for protection against small arms ammunition and provides procedures for their evaluation. The scope of the standard is limited to physical and ballistic evaluation of morcha against in-service small arms ammunition used by the Indian armed forces, central armed police forces and other law enforcement agencies.

This standard covers only the basic design of bullet resistant morcha and provides guidelines for its evaluation. Specific requirements in terms of design, protection area, additional attachments, storage arrangements etc. are at discretion of the user/purchaser.
