1 SCOPE

This standard defines set of core practices that are present in any Agile methodology. These practices are grouped in accordance with the process groups of IS 16124 : 2020 (identical to ISO/IEC/IEEE 12207 : 2017) as practices under agreement processes, practices under technical management processes, practices under technical processes and practices under organizational project-enabling processes. These practices enable the application of any Agile methodology in acquisition, supply, development, operation, maintenance and disposal of software systems, products and services.

The practices defined in this standard are applicable for a single Agile project, as well as for an organization performing multiple Agile projects. These practices are applicable throughout the lifecycle of software systems, products and services.

The standards listed in Annex A and Annex B contains provisions which, through reference in this text, constitute provisions of this standard. At the time of publication, the editions indicated were valid. All standards are subject to revision and parties to agreement based on this standard are encouraged to investigate the possibility of applying the most recent editions of the standards indicated in Annex A and Annex B.
