New Standard from Last Update.

FOREWORD

This Indian Standard was adopted by the Bureau of Indian Standards on recommendation of the Gas Cylinders Sectional Committee, had been approved by the Mechanical Engineering Divisional Council. While formulating this standard assistance has mainly been taken from ISO 20703 : 2006 ‘Gas cylinders - Refillable welded aluminium alloy cylinders - Design, construction and testing’. Assistance has also been derived from IS 3196 (Part 1) : 2013 ‘Welded low carbon steel cylinders exceeding 5 litres water capacity for low pressure liquefiable gases: Part 1 Cylinders for liquefied petroleum gases LPG - Specification’ and IS 3196 (Part 3) : 2012 ‘Welded low carbon steel cylinder exceeding 5 litre water capacity for low pressure liquefiable gases Part 3 Methods of test’.
