IS 1766 : 1998 Time Switches for Metering and Load Control

1 Scope

This standard specifies the requirements for the type test ofnewly manufactured self-contained time switches with operationreserve that are used to control electrical loads, multi-tariffregisters and maximum demand devices at certain days and hoursthroughout the year. These time switches may employ various typesof operation including the use of static circuits.

This standard includes the time switches with analogue dials ondigital display that are:

- Synchronous, and

- Crystal controlled.
