New Standard from Last Update.
NATIONAL FOREWORD
This Indian Standard (Part 4) which is identical with ISO 16075-4 : 2016 ‘Guidelines for treated wastewater use for irrigation projects - Part 4: Monitoring’ issued by the International Organization for Standardization (ISO), was adopted by the Bureau of Indian Standards on recommendation of the Environment Protection Sectional Committee and approval of the Chemical Division Council. Considering the importance to develop standard for providing guidance for good operation, monitoring, and maintenance of water reuse projects using treated wastewater for irrigation and to follow the uniform practices globally, the Committee felt that it would be more convenient to prepare this standard by adoption of ISO 16075 series of standards on dual numbering system.
This Indian Standard is published in four parts. The other parts in this series are:
Part 1 The Basis of a reuse project for irrigation.
Part 2 Development of the project.
Part 3 Components of a reuse project for irrigation.
The text of ISO Standard has been approved as suitable for publication as an Indian Standard without deviations. Certain terminologies and conventions are, however, not identical to those used in Indian Standards. Attention is particularly drawn to the following:
a) Wherever the words ‘International Standard’ appears referring to this standard, they should be read as ‘Indian Standard’.
b) Comma (,) has been used as a decimal marker, while in Indian Standards, the current practice is to use a point (.) as the decimal marker.
