1. SCOPE

1.1 This standard defines and establishes methodologies for a set of indicators for smart cities.

1.2 This standard is applicable to a new city or any city, municipality or local body that undertakes to measure its performance in a comparable and verifiable manner, irrespective of size and location. These indicators can be adopted for the rural areas also, with suitable consideration.

1.3 This standard shall be read in conjunction with IS 17000.
