NATIONAL FOREWORD

This Indian Standard which is identical with ISO 17115 : 2020 ‘Health informatics - Representation of categorial structures of terminology (Cat Structure)’ issued by the International Organization for Standardization (ISO) was adopted by the Bureau of Indian Standards on recommendation of the Health Informatics Sectional Committee and approval of the Medical Equipment and Hospital Planning Division Council.

This standard was originally published in 2013 as IS/ISO 17115 : 2007 which was an identical adoption of ISO 17115 : 2007 ‘Health informatics - Vocabulary for terminological systems’. It has now been published under dual numbering as an identical adoption of ISO 17115 : 2020 which has since replaced ISO 17115 : 2007. This standard supersedes IS/ISO 17115 : 2007.
