NATIONAL FOREWORD
This Indian Standard (Part 6) which is identical with ISO 21924-6 : 2017 ‘Protective equipment for martial arts — Part 6: Additional requirements and test methods for breast protectors for females’ issued by the International Organization for Standardization (ISO) was adopted by the Bureau of Indian Standards on recommendation of the Sports Goods Sectional Committee and approval of the Production and General Engineering Division Council.
Protective equipment for martial arts is mainly designed for use in unarmed martial arts, such as taekwondo, karate, kick-boxing and similar disciplines. This standard specifies additional requirements and test methods for breast protectors for females. Breast protectors can be used in combination with other protectors used in martial arts. If combined use is allowed, the requirements specified for the individual protector shall also apply.
