NATIONAL FOREWORD

This Indian Standard which is identical with ISO 23156 : 2021 ‘Ferronickels - Determination of phosphorus, manganese, chromium, copper and cobalt contents - Inductively coupled plasma optical emission spectrometric method’ issued by the International Organization for Standardization (ISO) and has been adopted by the Bureau of Indian Standards on recommendation of the Methods of Chemical Analysis of Metals Sectional Committee and approval of the Metallurgical Engineering Division Council.

The committee has now decided to adopt this standard under dual numbering system in order to align it with the latest version of ISO 23156 : 2021, to make pace with the latest international practices.
