NATIONAL FOREWORD

This Indian Standard (Part 1) which is identical with ISO 3601-1 : 2012 ‘Fluid power systems - O-rings - Part 1: Inside diameters, cross-sections, tolerances and designation codes’ issued by the International Organization for Standardization (ISO) was adopted by the Bureau of Indian Standards on the recommendation of the Gaskets and Packing Sectional Committee and approval of Mechanical Engineering Division Council.

These standards, IS 17891 (Part 1 to Part 5)/ISO 3601 (Part 1 to Part 5) supersedes IS 9975 (Part 1 to Part 4).
