NATIONAL FOREWORD

This Indian Standard (Part 5) which is identical with ISO 3601-5 : 2015 ‘Fluid power systems - O-rings - Part 5: Specification of elastomeric materials for industrial applications’ issued by the International Organization for Standardization (ISO) was adopted by the Bureau of Indian Standards on recommendation of the Gaskets and Packing Sectional Committee and approval of Mechanical Engineering Division Council.

These standards, IS 17891 (Part 1 to Part 5)/ISO 3601 (Part 1 to Part 5) supersedes IS 9975 (Part 1 to Part 4).
