NATIONAL FOREWORD

This Indian Standard which is identical adoption of ISO 1942 : 2020 ‘Dentistry - Vocabulary’ issued by the International Organization for Standardization (ISO), was adopted by the Bureau of Indian Standards on the recommendation of the Dentistry Sectional Committee and after approval of the Medical Equipment and Hospital Planning Division Council.

ISO has published the standard ‘Dentistry - Vocabulary’ in five parts which was adopted as IS 7348 (Part 1) : 2003/ ISO 1942-1 : 1989; IS 7348 (Part 2) : 2003/ISO 1942-2 : 1989; IS 7348 (Part 3) : 2003/ISO 1942-3 :1989; IS 7348 (Part 4) : 1994/ISO 1942-4 : 1989; IS 7348 (Part 5) : 1994/ISO 1942-5 : 1989. After publication of this standard, all these parts shall stand withdrawn.
