NATIONAL FOREWORD

This Indian Standard (First Revision) which is identical with ISO 15190 : 2020 ‘Medical laboratories - Requirements for safety’ issued by the International Organization for Standardization (ISO) was adopted by the Bureau of Indian Standards on recommendation of the Hospital Planning Sectional Committee and approval of the Medical Equipment and Hospital Planning Division Council.

IS/ISO 15190 : 2003 which was first published in 2019 as an identical adoption of ISO 15190 : 2003 'Medical laboratories - Requirements for safety'. This first revision has been undertaken to align it with the latest version of ISO 15190.
