1. SCOPE

This standard is applicable for all new installed passenger lifts, goods passenger lifts, goods lifts, service lifts, as defined in 3 of IS 14665 (Parts 1 to 4), IS 14671, IS 15259, IS 15330 and IS 15785.

This standard specifies the elements necessary for the preparation of the instructions for the maintenance operations (see 3.1), which are provided for new installed lifts.

This standard does not cover instructions for the installation and the dismantling.

Existing installations are not covered by this standard.
