NATIONAL FOREWORD

This Indian Standard which is identical to ISO 13579-3 : 2013 ‘Industrial furnaces and associated processing equipment - Method of measuring energy balance and calculating efficiency: Part 3 Batch-type aluminium melting furnaces’ issued by the International Organization for Standardization (ISO), was adopted by the Bureau of Indian Standards on the recommendation of the Industrial Fuel-Fired Furnaces Sectional Committee and approval of the Metallurgical Engineering Division Council.

The Committee has decided to adopt this standard under dual numbering system and make it align with ISO 13579-3 : 2013.
