NATIONAL FOREWORD

This Indian Standard which is identical with ISO 18754 : 2020 ‘Fine ceramics (advanced ceramics, advanced technical ceramics) - Determination of density and apparent porosity’ issued by the International Organization for Standardization (ISO) was adopted by the Bureau of Indian Standards on recommendation of the Ceramicware Sectional Committee and approval of the Division Council.

This Indian Standard specifies a method for the determination of the apparent solid density, bulk density, apparent porosity and geometric bulk density of fine ceramics, including all ceramic matrix composites.
