NATIONAL FOREWORD

This Indian Standard which is identical with ISO 6185-2 : 2001 ‘Inflatable boats — Part 2: Boats with a maximum motor power rating of 4.5 kW to 15 kW inclusive’ issued by International Organization for Standardization (ISO), was adopted by the Bureau of Indian Standards on the recommendations of the Inland Harbour Crafts and Fishing Vessels Sectional Committee and approval of the Transport Engineering Division Council.

This standard has been issued in several parts. Other parts in this series are:

Part 1 Boats with a maximum motor power rating of 4.5 kW

Part 3 Boats with a hull length less than 8 m with a motor rating of 15 kW and greater

The text of ISO Standard may be approved for publication as an Indian Standard without deviations. Certain conventions are, however, not identical to those used in Indian Standards. Attention is particularly drawn to the following:

a) Wherever the words ‘International Standard’ appear referring to this standard, they should be read as ‘Indian Standard’.

b) Comma (,) has been used as a decimal marker while in Indian Standards, the current practice is to use a point (.) as the decimal marker.
