NATIONAL FOREWORD

This Indian Standard which is modified adoption of ISO 21563 : 2021 ‘Dentistry - Hydrocolloid impression materials’ issued by the International Organization for Standardization (ISO), was adopted by the Bureau of Indian Standards on the recommendation of the Dentistry Sectional Committee and after approval of the Medical Equipment and Hospital Planning Division Council.

This standard was originally published in 2018. The first revision has been undertaken to align it with latest edition of ISO 21563 : 2021. After publication of this standard, IS/ISO 21563 : 2013 stands withdrawn. This standard also supersedes IS/ISO 1563 : 1990, IS 6036 : 1987 and IS 11628 : 1986.
