1. SCOPE

This standard specifies the aperture size for industrial woven wire cloth screens, industrial wire screens, industrial perforated plate screens and industrial electroformed sheet screens. It also provides a comprehensive range of combinations of aperture size and wire diameter with respect to their percentage open area for industrial wire cloth screens and industrial wire screens. The percentage open area of each aperture/wire combination is stated to assist in assessing a combination for screening purposes.
