IS 18069 : Part 2 : 2023/ISO 8529-2 : 2000 Reference Neutron Radiations Part 2 Calibration Fundamentals of Radiation Protection Devices Related to the Basic Quantities Characterizing the Radiation Field
New Standard from Last Update.
NATIONAL FOREWORD
This Indian Standard (Part 2) which is identical with ISO 8529-2 : 2000 ‘Reference neutron radiations - Part 2: Calibration fundamentals of radiation protection devices related to the Basic Quantities Characterizing the Radiation Field’ issued by the International Organization for Standardization (ISO), was adopted by the Bureau of Indian Standards. on the recommendation of the Nuclear Energy for Peaceful Applications Sectional Committee and approval of the Chemical Division Council.
This part specifies the procedures to be used for realizing the calibration conditions of radiation protection devices in neutron fields produced by these calibration sources, with particular emphasis on the corrections for extraneous effects (e.g., the neutrons scattered from the walls of the calibration room).
