NATIONAL FOREWORD

This Indian Standard (Part 2) (First Revision) which is modified adoption of ISO 5834-2 : 2019 'Implants for surgery — Ultra-high-molecular-weight polyethylene — Part 2: Moulded forms' issued by the International Organization for Standardization was adopted by the Bureau of Indian Standards on the recommendation of the Orthopaedic Instruments, Implants and Accessories Sectional Committee and approval of the Medical Equipment and Hospital Planning Division Council.

This standard supersedes IS/ISO 5834-2 : 2011 which was published in 2016. Subsequent to publication of this standard, IS/ISO 5834-2 : 2011 shall stand withdrawn.
