NATIONAL FOREWORD
This Indian Standard which is identical with ISO 9269 : 1988 'Implants for surgery — Metal bone plates — Holes and slots corresponding to screws with conical under-surface' issued by the International Organization for Standardization was adopted by the Bureau of Indian Standards on the recommendation of the Orthopaedic Instruments, Implants and Accessories Sectional Committee and approval of the Medical Equipment and Hospital Planning Division Council.
This standard supersedes IS 11567 (Part 3) : 1986 'Specification for holes and slots in metal bone plates: Part 3 Corresponding to screws with asymmetrical thread and conical under-surfaces' and IS 11567 (Part 4) : 1986 'Specification for holes and slots in metal bone plates: Part 4 Corresponding to screws with symmetrical thread and conical under-surfaces'.
After publication of this standard, IS 11567 (Part 3) : 1986 and IS 11567 (Part 4) : 1986 shall be treated as withdrawn.
