1. SCOPE

1.1 This standard prescribes the method for the determination of the amount of drain-down of uncompacted bitumen mixture when it is held at elevated temperatures.

1.2 This standard is applicable to open-graded bitumen mixtures (such as open-graded friction course) and gap-graded mixtures such as Stone Matrix Asphalt (SMA).
