NATIONAL FOREWORD

This Indian Standard which is identical with ISO 14146 : 2018 ‘Radiological protection - Criteria and performance limits for the periodic evaluation of dosimetry services’ issued by the International Organization for Standardization (ISO) was adopted by the Bureau of Indian Standards on the recommendation of the Nuclear Energy for Peaceful Applications Sectional Committee and approval of the Chemical Division Council.

This standard specifies the criteria and the test procedures to be used for the periodic verification of the performance of dosimetry services supplying personal and area dosimeters. An area dosemeter can be a workplace dosemeter or an environmental dosemeter.
