NATIONAL FOREWORD

This Indian Standard IS 18123 : 2022 which is identical with IEC 60050-531 : 1974 'International Electrotechnical Vocabulary Chapter 531: Electronic tubes' issued by the International Electrotechnical Commission (IEC) was adopted by the Bureau of Indian Standards on the recommendation of Electronic Display Devices and systems Sectional Committee, and approval of the Electronics and Information Technology Division Council.

IS 1885(Part 4/sec 1), IS 188 5(Part 4/sec 7) & IS 1885 (Part 4/Sec 8) were published in 1973, IS 1885 (Part 4/sec 6) was published in 1972 IS 1885(Part 4/sec 4) was published in 1970 and were largely based on (IEV 531) (Central Office) 1031 Draft revision of IEV Chapter 07 'Electronic tubes', issued by International Electrotechnical Commission (IEC).
