NATIONAL FOREWORD

This Indian Standard (First Revision) which is identical with IEC 61701 : 2020 'Photovoltaic (PV) modules — Salt mist corrosion testing' issued by the International Electrotechnical Commission (IEC) was adopted by the Bureau of Indian Standards on the recommendation of the Solar Photovoltaic Energy Systems Sectional Committee and approval of the Electrotechnical Division Council.

This standard was originally published in 2010 was identical with IEC 61701 : 1995. The first revision of this standard under dual numbering system has been undertaken to align it with the latest version of International Standard published by IEC.
