NATIONAL FOREWORD

This Indian Standard (Part 1) which is modified adoption of ISO 16358-1 : 2013 ‘Air-cooled air conditioners and air-to-air heat pumps - Testing and calculating methods for seasonal performance factors - Part 1: Cooling seasonal performance factor’ issued by the International Organization for Standardization (ISO) was adopted by the Bureau of Indian Standards on the recommendation of the Refrigeration and Air Conditioning Sectional Committee and approval of the Mechanical Engineering Division council.

This standard specifies the testing and calculation methods for seasonal performance factor of equipment covered under IS 1391 (Part 1), IS 1391 (Part 2), IS 8148 and multiple-split (VRF) airconditioner.

NOTE - Indian Standard for multiple-split (VRF) air-conditioner is under preparation.
