NATIONAL FOREWORD

This Indian Standard (Part 5) which is identical with ISO 5832-5 : 2022 ‘Implants for surgery - Metallic materials - Part 5: Wrought cobalt-chromium-tungsten-nickel’ issued by the International Organization for Standardization was adopted by the Bureau of Indian Standards on the recommendation of the Orthopaedic Instruments Implant and Accessories Sectional Committee and approval of the Medical Equipment and Hospital Planning Division Council.

The first revision has been taken up in order to align with the latest version as per ISO and it supersedes IS/ISO 5832-5 : 2005. Subsequent to the publication of this standard, IS/ISO 5832-5 : 2005 shall stand withdrawn.
