NATIONAL FOREWORD

This Indian Standard (Part 3) which is identical with ISO 10075-3 : 2004 ‘Ergonomic principles related to mental workload - Part 3: Principles and requirements concerning methods for measuring and assessing mental workload’ issued by the International Organization for Standardization (ISO) was adopted by the Bureau of Indian Standards on the recommendation of the Ergonomics Sectional Committee and approval of the Production and General Engineering Division Council.

This part of IS 18263 specifies technical information relevant in the context of constructing, evaluating and choosing measurement instruments for assessing mental workload as defined and treated in IS 18263 (Part 1) and ISO 10075-2. Familiarity with the concepts discussed in these two standards is required to understand the provisions of this part of IS 18263.
