NATIONAL FOREWORD

This Indian Standard which is a modified adoption of ISO 12866 : 1999 ‘Ophthalmic instruments - Perimeters' issued by the International Organization for Standardization was adopted by Bureau of Indian Standards on the recommendation of Ophthalmic Instruments and Appliances Sectional Committee and approval of the Medical Equipment and Hospital Planning Division Council.

This standard was first published in 2014 as IS/ISO 12866 : 1999 ‘Ophthalmic instruments - Perimeters’ identical with ISO 12866 : 1999. This supersession has been undertaken to incorporate Amendment 1 published in 2008.
