NATIONAL FOREWORD

This Indian Standard (Part 1) which is identical with ISO 11450 : 1999 ‘Equipment for harvesting and conservation - Round balers —Terminology and commercial specifications’ and its amendment no. 1 of 2016 issued by International Organization for Standardization (ISO) was adopted by the Bureau of Indian Standards on recommendation of the Agriculture Machinery and Equipment Sectional Committee and approval of the Food and Agriculture Division Council.

This Indian Standard is published in two parts. Part 2 of the standard has been developed indigenously and covers the methods to test the performance of the tractor driven round balers.
